The story starts in 2004 with three boardriders, faced with dead end jobs and just wanting to snowboard, yup the bug had bitten us hard. We started throwing around ideas, designs and dreams of a company with an ethos that makes every worker a part of the business. These ideas, dreams and designs evolved into reality in 2004 with pen to paper, fingers to keyboards, IAMWHY grew in the midnight hours.
Unfortunatly the lease was up at the spot we rented (sure glad they didn't check up on us haha!) so anyway we had to move. We found a warehouse in here in Cornwall but at the last second the whole deal fell through, so we we're back to printing at home but this time from the dinning room! I remember have to try hide the half ton screen printing machine every time the landlord came round, we even rigged it up on wheels for easy rolling!
Finally in 2007 we got a warehouse and haven't looked back since. It's been a rough ride, but when you look back it's been pretty awesome. Making stupid, honest mistakes, realising it's not easy to create a brand, watching your brand develop, taking a viewpoint on environmental issues.
